Blood Moon 2026 LIVE: Rare full moon to be visible in hours | Science | News

The rare Blood Moon phenomenon will be visible in the sky on March 3. Today’s rare total lunar eclipse will be the last time humans will see the Blood Moon until New Year’s Eve 2028. But not everyone in the world will be able to enjoy the lunar show.
Unfortunately for Brits, this full moon will only be visible in North America, East Asia, Australia and New Zealand; here the full moon will coincide with the total lunar eclipse. The UK had the chance to enjoy the first full moon of spring, known as the Worm Moon, on Monday night. It will also appear fully occupied from Tuesday night through Wednesday, making it the perfect opportunity to witness this spectacle with lots of clear skies forecast.
