Body of British thrillseeker who fell to his death from a cliff in Australia is found

The body of a British man who loved the outdoors and died after ‘sliding’ and falling off a cliff was found in Australia.
Fergus Cooper, 23, was reported missing after entering the Tasman Sea at Mystery Bay Beach in New South Wales on January 18.
A body has since washed ashore at nearby Billy’s Beach and it has now been officially identified as the young Brit.
Sea rescue volunteers and police teams were dispatched to the area upon notice that the 23-year-old boy had fallen. They frantically searched the water and the surrounding area, but he was not found.
Chief Inspector Shane Jessep, of South Coast Police District, said Fergus ‘appeared to have been in an accident and slipped on rocks’.
The tributes started pouring in as friends congratulated the adventurous thrill seeker.
A friend said: ‘Fergus was a top lad, always up for a challenge and one of the best lads around.

A scaffolder by trade, he was also a keen off-roader, visiting the Lake District and crossing overflowing streams in his Land Rover.
In June last year, he documented his travels with friends to the Scottish Highlands, climbing mountains and diving into the surging Lake Ewe.
He had conquered Ben Nevis, Britain’s highest mountain, in the depths of winter and snowy conditions.
He also competed in the grueling Tough Mudder race at Broughton Hall, his country estate near his home.
The previous year, in January 2024, Fergus went to Vietnam with a group and hiked mountain roads on motorcycles.
The traveler also traveled to Morocco with his friends in 2022.
