Body of infant found in Perth storm water drain had been there for two weeks, WA premier says | Western Australia

A girl who was found dead in a rain water evacuation is believed to be there for two weeks.

The terrible discovery of the baby’s body was made at Alexander Heights in the north of Perth in the afternoon.

Western Australian Prime Minister Roger Cook said the girl is believed to be in the evacuation for about two weeks.

“The mother of that child should be incredibly troubled,” he said on Tuesday.

While the trades cleans the evacuation on Monday, it seems that Mr. Cook found the body in what he describes as a “terrible scenario”.

“The workers who discovered the child’s body faced the most sad conditions,” he said.

“My heart goes to everyone who participated in these terrible, terrible events.

“This goes to the heart of everyone’s sense of humanity, whose life is a little child who is a little child under tragic conditions.”

WA police confirmed that the investigation into the terrible discovery continued.
