Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and NSW Premier Chris Minns visited 43-year-old hero Ahmed Al Ahmed, who wrestled a gunman with a gun before activating Reuven Morrison’s daring brick-throwing counter-attack, which was captured on video.
NSW Health extends its deepest condolences to the families, friends and loved ones of those killed and injured at Bondi Beach.

injured police officers
It was revealed that 3 police officers were injured in the chaos of the beach massacre.
Two people remain in hospital in serious but stable condition. One of these police officers was reportedly in the first police car to arrive on the scene when the shooting began. Photos of the vehicle show three bullet holes in the windshield.
Constable Scott Dyson has been identified as one of three NSW Police officers injured in Sunday’s terror attack at Bondi Beach.
On Monday night, his family shared a photo of the young Australian man via NSW Police.
NSW Police said Constable Dyson was in a serious but stable condition.
Constable Dyson had served with Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command for 18 months before he was injured in the fatal attack.
Officer Dyson had reportedly recently found out he was going to be a father because his partner had become pregnant.

The families of the two officers offered a heartfelt thank you to the service members who have helped since the shooting, including the ICU staff who assisted the officers.
“The families of the two injured police officers would like to express their thoughts to the relatives of those killed and injured in the Bondi shooting tragedy,” said a joint statement shared by the NSW Police.
“They would also like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all first responders who acted courageously, especially police officers and paramedics. They would also like to thank hospital teams and especially those in intensive care.
“They thank the community for their support but have asked for privacy as their loved ones focus on healing and recovery.”
Detective hiding behind tree
The plainclothes detective who shot and killed one of the Bondi Beach gunmen and helped put an end to the massacre of innocent bystanders has been reported to be a senior Bondi detective.
In the footage of the horror that ensued, the detective is seen sneaking up on the alleged terrorist attackers, father and son Naveed Akram and Sajid Akram, while shooting from a footbridge.
NSW Police told The Nightly they were unable to comment on the detective’s actions as a critical incident investigation into the Bondi shootings was still ongoing.
The third officer is a probationary officer whose identity has not been verified.
