Border control deny man US entry after finding ‘bald JD Vance meme’ | US | News

A young Norwegian holidaymaker claimed that he was banned from entering the United States and was subjected to questioning by ice agents after finding a JD Vance breast on his mobile phone.

Mads Mikkelsen, 21, told the Norway News Outlet Nordlys, by detailing that his arrival at Newark Airport in New Jersey on June 11, on June 11th. Mads, who planned a slow visit with friends in New York, described the treatment of Austin, then a trip to Texas by US immigration officials as “harassment and abuse of power”.

“Even in front of many other people at the airport, I felt prejudiced, suspicious and just humiliated.” He said. “They took me to a room with a few armed guards that I had to deliver my shoes, my cell phone and my backpack.”

During the intensive interrogation session, MADS was grilled about their intentions in the US and the civil servants entered the deep personal zone. “They asked direct questions about drug trafficking, terrorist plans and right -wing extremism.”

The tourist carrying the breast added: “They asked for full information about everyone I will meet in the United States, such as names, addresses, telephone number and what they did for business.” Mads’ mother was prepared to join her later during her trip with plans to explore various national parks together.

Mikkelsen told about his 12 -hour tiring journey, while he barely slept and was physically and mentally drained even before questioning. This intensive examination is followed by the US Customs and Border Protection, which was implemented after President Donald Trump’s re -selection and allowed agencies to examine the phones of passengers.

In March, when a French scientist rejected the entry into the United States after revealing the texts criticizing Trump on his phones, a remarkable case occurred. Mikkelsen shared a disturbing detail: “If I refused to give my phone to my phone, they threatened me for a minimum of 5,000 dollars or five years of imprisonment.”

After delivering his password, MADS was informed that he would not be allowed to continue his journey due to two images considered objectionable by the officers. The first was a bitch depicting JD Vance, a bald, egg -shaped head, where even the vice president was released in March.

The second photo was Mads, who kept a wooden pipe he prepared years ago. “Both pictures were automatically saved from a chat application to the camera roller, but I didn’t think these innocent pictures would stop the attempt to the country.”

Mads shared with Nordlys, which he tried to explain the images, but they were harmless jokes, but the statements fell into the deaf ears with immigration officials. He claims that he has endured a lane and is forced to get blood tests, face scans and fingerprints.

“Then I retreated and the situation worsened. “I felt completely devastated and I was broken and I was close to crying a few times. I was on a panic threshold. I felt a terrorist suspect where I was sitting. I tried to bring myself together a few times, but I finally wanted to go home again.”

Mads remembered that she was locked for five more hours, rejected food and water, and forcibly sent back to Oslo on the day she arrived for a lifetime holiday.

“I do not feel that communicating with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, nor do I think they have any power against a strong and strict country like the United States.” Mathias from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs made it clear that Norway should be understanding about the US rules before their visit.

“Most of the trips to the United States go without certain problems.”

“Entry arrangements may change in a short time and to have valid documents and familiar with existing entrance arrangements are the traveler responsibility. The immigration officials who decide whether you have been rejected at the border in arrival. Norwegian officials cannot interfere with this decision.

“If the person in question is not allowed to enter a country, we do not need to receive a message from the border officials or Norwegian travelers of other countries.”

However, the US customs and border protection rejected the breast that Mikkelson was responsible for the prohibition of entry. The Agency said: “Mads Mikkelsen was not rejected for any memory or political reason, it was for the use of drugs it accepted.”
