White House border czar Tom Homan has vowed that the Trump administration will move forward with deportation efforts despite resistance from Virginia’s new Democratic Gov. Abigail Spanberger.

Appearing on Thursday’s episode of the “Ruthless” podcast, Homan was stunned by the dramatic turnaround from his days as a gubernatorial candidate.

“I’m a resident of Virginia and Spanberger. I remember the campaign ads. ‘I’m a law enforcement officer. I saved children from sex trafficking.’ I saw the commercials,” Homan said “Ruthless” co-host John Ashbrook.
“So, the first day he took office, he stopped being a law enforcement officer and became a politician, because where are those commercials you made about supporting law enforcement and saving children?

“First of all, this administration, we’ve already found 130,000 of these missing children. The last (presidential) administration wasn’t even looking for them. Many of these children were victims of sex trafficking and forced labor. We’re breaking up these trafficking rings. We’re looking for these missing children. We’re arresting criminal aliens, many of whom are just like them.” [in] Last two weeks in Minnesota. Many of them were child sexual abusers. Child rape. Where did he go? I mean, he’s a different person than the person he’s running for.”
Homan added that he respects Spanberger’s past services to the country; He was a CIA officer before entering politics, but said he “forgot” about it soon after becoming governor.
“Hopefully we can work together, but it doesn’t look good,” Homan said.

Ashbrook asked Homan if there were ways to get around Spanberger’s executive order against ICE.
“Well, we’ll work on it,” Homan replied. “We’re working on this in New York and California, Oregon and Illinois. Those states are not friendly. They won’t work with ICE. So it just means we have to send more resources to those states because it makes our job harder.”
“If they work with us, I mean, an agent could arrest an illegal alien in the county jail,” he said. “If you give us access to the person you locked in a prison cell, that person is in the country illegally. When you’re done, you give them to us. That’s the most effective way to do that. But when you knowingly expose threats to public safety in the community, now we have to send an entire team out to look for them.”

“I’ve said this from day one. The thousands of agents we’ve brought in, we’re going to flood the sanctuary cities. We have to do this because you’ve created problems by putting some public safety threats out on the streets,” Homan told Ashbrook.
“So, unfortunately, they have set the stage and we will do what we have to do. They will not be able to stop us. They can stand by and watch. Shame on them, but they will not be able to stop us from doing this duty.”
Spanberger’s office did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
