Border dispute with India complicated, takes time; ready to discuss delimitation, says China

On Monday, June 30, 2025, China said that the border dispute with India was complex and that it would take time to settle, but it is also ready for discussions on limiting the border and keeping peaceful.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, during his meeting with Chinese counterpart Dong Jun in Qingdao on June 26, suggested that India and China solve “complex problems” under a roadmap that took steps to rejuvenate the current mechanism to increase tensions throughout the borders.

Mr. Singh and Mr. Dong organized bilateral talks throughout the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) in the port city of China, Qingdao, and focused on maintaining peace and tranquility during the actual control line (LAC).

The first meeting of SRS
