Urgent recall: Tom & Luke Low Carb Hazelnut Snackaballs flavours pulled from shelves over presence of plastic

Several popular health snacks sold across the country have been recalled after plastic was found in the products.
Hazelnut and raspberry options in the Tom and Luke’s Low Carb Snackaballs range have been withdrawn from Coles shelves by Smartfoods Limited due to the presence of foreign material.
The affected 112 gram hazelnut packages have date markings “3 SEPTEMBER 2026” and “11 SEPTEMBER 2026”.
The affected 112g raspberry options are marked “11 SEP 2026”, “15 SEP 2026” and “16 OCTOBER 2026”.
The products are available in Coles stores nationwide and online.
“Food products containing plastic may cause illness/injury when consumed,” Food Standards Australia and New Zealand said in a warning published on Friday.
“Consumers should not eat this product.”
Snacks may return their purchase for a full refund.
Anyone concerned about their health should seek medical attention.
