Brett Favre laments clickbait culture in society

In a recent podcast episode, NFL legend Brett Favre lamented the culture of instant gratification that has been created in society as a result of the social media age.

Favre and co-host David Kano spoke “4th and Favre” It’s about the lack of loyalty in college sports and the departure of coaches from schools without consequences, with the advent of name, image and likeness deals and the emergence of the transfer portal.

Kano compared what is happening in college sports to the state of society.

Favre said in response, “I think it’s more a matter of what you’re exposed to. There are some people who don’t watch YouTube. There are some people who don’t have TikTok. I’m one of them.” “Again, it’s a matter of opinion. But I think what matters in this world or in this country right now is about how many clicks you can get instantly. Like, what can I do to get the most followers? That’s similar to what we were just talking about.”

The Green Bay Packers legend said the lack of loyalty in college sports is a “sign of the times.” He added that college athletics is about “how well you can perform now as a player or coach and move on to bigger and better things.”
