Brett Favre briefly commented on the shooting incident involving New York Jets player Kris Boyd on the latest episode of his podcast.
Boyd was shot and wounded in Midtown Manhattan early Sunday morning. Police said the man was shot in the abdomen and taken to the hospital. Officials said he is in critical but stable condition and remains hospitalized.

Favre, who spent one season of his career in the Jets, shared his thoughts about being away from the field until late hours as a famous football player.
“You might be a little bit safer in Green Bay and not be out at 2 a.m. in Green Bay,” he said. “4th and Favre.” “New York, being out at 2 a.m. isn’t that big of a deal. It’s a big city. There’s a lot to do. There’s a lot of places to eat. There’s a lot of places to hang out.”

“I don’t know this young man. He looks like he’s having fun at a restaurant. It’s sad that we have to talk about this more these days, whether it’s 2 o’clock or 8 o’clock. But we’re praying for him and his family.”
Police released photos of a suspect they say fired the firearm that led to Boyd’s shooting.
Police said, “The wanted person was stated to be male and of medium complexion.” “He was last seen wearing a black hat, black sweater, black trousers, multi-coloured sneakers and carrying a black school bag.”
