Bridget Phillipson becomes first cabinet minister to join Labour’s deputy leader race to replace Angela Rayner

Training Secretary Bridget Phillipson announced that he will continue to compete as an assistant leader in Angela Rayner.
After the speculation of who will be the candidate of Sir Keir Starmer, Mrs. Phillipson appeared as the choice of leadership and should easily get 80 deputies to nominate her.
Many argued that Ms. Rayner needed a party without London and a woman to balance Sir Keir after leaving her taxes. 41 -year -old Mrs. Phillipson represents Houghton and Sunderland South.

Ms. Phillipson will have the perfect opportunity to start the campaign with the opening speech at the Congress of Trade Union (TUC) in Brighton today.
Following a change that many of them described as “right -wing coup”, they will face delegates looking for assurance about the government policy.
Early contestants looking for 80 deputies to nominate them until September 11, Clapham and Brixton Hill deputy Ribeiro-Ady from the left of the party, Dame Emily Thornberry, President of the Foreign Election Committee, also wanted to escape.
However, others excluded themselves, including former transportation secretary Louise Haight, a popular alternative outside the leadership.
In a statement, Phillipsson said: “Today I suggest myself as a candidate for the Labor Party leadership, to unite our big party and to hand over to the working people.”
I am a proud working class woman from the North East. The cabinet, who was determined to give a better chance of life for young people who grow up in our country, came from a single parent family on a hard Council Street. ”
Phillipson was the face of one of the leftist policies of the government by forcing the decision to add VAT to private school fees to pay for 6,000 teachers in public schools.
He said: “I got strongly acquired interests in the education sector – and even when they threw everything to me, I never took a step back. I will bring the same determination to every war ahead.
“Because don’t make mistakes: in the fight.
“But I’m not just ready for it: I have proved that we can do this. While the Labor Party remained loyal to the values of equality, justice and social justice, I showed that we could defeat in the northeast.
“We will defeat them as an assistant leader with me throughout the country and offer people working in this big country deserve.”
It seems to have the support of the health secretary Wes Streeting, which is already the choice of “Northern Woman”.
He said Times Radio: “I think I can say that we should make a leadership from outside London to expand the perspectives and expand the base, without disrespecting some bright women like Emily Thornberry in London.”
