Brisbane Lions won the premiere in a consecutive manner with a stunning win against Geelong before 100,022 fans in MCG, 18.14 (122) to 11.9 (69).
The lions had to do the third place on the ladder and they had to do the hard way in the finals after they were behind the cats in the qualifying finals.
Although Superstar midfielder Lachie Neale received a calf problem for a stable and only part -time, Will Ashcroft, Hugh McCluggage and Zac Bailey scored a monster goal for a few minutes before the third place.

Lions and cats, lions in the second stages before winning the upper hand, since 1909 in a decision for the first time – part -time did not come out.
Max Holmes and Bailey Smith were effective for cats, but Captain Patrick Dangerfield and Coleman medal Jeremy Cameron were at the best. Cameron fought a sleeve injury to the second half after a collision with Dangerfield in the late second period, and Jaspa Fletcher fought after a brave, one -hand chasing and fighter.
Lions turned the competition with the last three goals of the third period and took ahead of 19 points to the last break.
Oscar McINERney was a story that made you feel good. Experienced Ruckman played in the 2023 Grand Finals who lost against Collingwood, but damaged his shoulder in the pre -final last year and was removed from this big final against Swans.
