Brisbane rideshare driver accused of rape, stalking multiple women over five years

The rideshare driver was charged with rape, coercive control, threats of violence and multiple counts of harassment related to alleged incidents dating back to 2020.
The 29-year-old male rideshare driver will be alleged to have picked up a 27-year-old woman in his white Mercedes Benz A45 in mid-2025, Queensland Police said in a statement.
It is claimed that the couple shared their social media accounts before starting a relationship in June last year.
Police claimed the woman tried to leave the man, who allegedly looked at her phone multiple times and threatened to attack her.
In the police statement, it was said, “It will be alleged that on the night of July 20, 2025, the man went to the woman’s house unannounced and sexually assaulted her.”
The woman ended the relationship and told the man not to contact her again.
Police claimed that the man came to her house unannounced and threatened her on August 17 of the same year, but left because other people were there.
The man is also alleged to have shared social media accounts with another 21-year-old woman, who used the carpool to return home from Fortitude Valley on November 1, 2024.
“Within two months, the man (allegedly) assaulted the woman and went through her phone,” police said.
“Over the next seven days it will be alleged the man sent the woman multiple messages and threatened to go to her workplace.
“The woman never met the man after the initial carpool and blocked him on social media and phone before going to the police station to report the matter.”

A police spokesman said “extensive investigations” showed the same man was involved in all three alleged incidents.
Police raided an address in Ferry Hills on November 17 last year and seized mobile phones and a laptop allegedly belonging to the man.
He is accused of rape, coercive control, threats of violence and three counts of harassment.
The man will appear before the Brisbane Magistrates Court on April 17.
