Kid Rock Turning Point USA halftime show praised amid Bad Bunny criticism

Turning Point USA’s “All-American” Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday was praised.
The show, which featured Kid Rock, Brantley Gilbert, Lee Brice and Gabby Barrett, was released on YouTube at the same time as the Super Bowl halftime show with Bad Bunny.
Many people praised the alternative show; millions watched, and the number of viewers of the live broadcast on YouTube rose to 5 million.
However, some called it “underwhelming”, while others criticized Kid Rock’s vocal ability.

Turning Point USA’s “All-American Halftime Show” also took a moment to remember founder Charlie Kirk.
The tribute took place as Kid Rock finished his song and read “In memory of Charlie Kirk” alongside photos of Charlie’s wife, Erika, and their children.
Kacey Musgraves slammed Kid Rock as she took to X to share her thoughts.
The country singer wrote of Bad Bunny’s halftime show: “Eh. It made me feel more proudly American than anything Kid Rock has ever done.”
However, Jake Paul went to X to criticize Bad Bunny two hours before the halftime show.

Paul, who lives in Puerto Rico, condemned the Puerto Rican singer’s halftime show and told fans they “have the power” to use their voices.
“We are deliberately shutting down the halftime show. Let’s get together and show the big corporations that they can’t do what they want without consequences (which for them equals viewership),” Paul wrote to X.
Adding: “You are their benefit. Realize you have power. Close that circuit.”

Paul called Bad Bunny “a fake American citizen who publicly hates America.”
“I can’t support that,” Paul said.

One person wrote to X: “TPUSA halftime show was so much better. Thank you to all the artists who supported this great event.”
Another called the alternative show “awesome,” while another user X said the artists were “killing it.”

“Really good, patriotic and very touching,” one tweet about the show read.
They added: “I wasn’t sure I would like it but I’m glad I gave it a listen, all the musicians were amazing.”
