Devotees throng streets of Madurai to catch a glimpse of Lord Kallazhagar

Thousands of devotees flocked to the streets of Madurai to welcome Lord Kallazhagar as he entered the city on Thursday morning.

Devotees gathered for ‘Ethir Sevai’ on Wednesday evening as part of the annual Chithirai festival to catch a glimpse of the deity leaving his abode in Alagarkoil, riding on a golden palanquin. Lord Kallazhagar started his Madurai journey from Alagarkoil around 6.15 pm on Wednesday. Appan reached Moondrumavadi around 6 am on Thursday after stopping at Tirupathi.
