British and Irish Lions 2025: Maro Itoje on faith, charity, politics and art

Maro Itoje’s head has been in the hands of Moussa for more than a decade.
After Barber’s chair, Moussa saw that Itoje matured from a very horny young man to a 30 -year -old 30 -year -old British and Irish lion.
Now for the first time, the captain is one of Itoje’s last appointments before going to Australia, the vest of his vest.
“For a while,” says Itoge and Moussa.
“There will be a challenge on the tour.
“When you enter a new barber chair, you should always have a little confidence -a little bit of faith -I don’t think they are very accustomed to Afro -ayip hair in Australia, especially in Australia!”
Faith and unexpected situation plans will be a theme for Itoge for the next five weeks.
When asked how the tactics of religion fit, the former Labor Spin Guru Alastair Campbell said in a famous way, “We do not do God.”
England team manager Richard Hill as young as a young Campbell and is in contact with the Itoge is definitely.
At the opening of Lions in May, he announced that he missed his Bible to be there.
When he was promoted to the captain of the UK in January, The priest was one of the six people he told before the public’s announcement.– external
When it is asked for a long journey to both posts, itoje has a simple explanation: “God’s timing is always the best time.”
“I have made a conscious decision to double this issue in the last two or three years.”
“I was probably a warm Christian for most of my life. I was probably going to the church, but I really didn’t have such a deep principles or values, but I always believed.
“The humility I’ve been trying to embody throughout my life comes from knowing that everything is a gift, not with my own work, but by the man on the upper floor.”
With the high standards of Itoge and its own acceptance, this humility was not always present in previous lions tours.
In 2017, he described his 22 -year -old self, who won the red sea of Lions fans in New Zealand, as “a little arrogant and a little pure”.
This time, in the center of Hype and Hoopla, he is calm and determined to protect his routine.
