British man who died in Antarctic glacier discovered 65 years later

In 1959, the ruins of a British man who died in a tragic accident in Antarctica were found in the melting glacier.
Dennis ‘Tink’ Bell was only 25 years old when he became a cleft while working for the organization of British Antarctica research.
In January, his bones were discovered by a Polish expedition near the Ecology Glacier on King George Island, as well as personal belongings, including a wristwatch, radio and pipe.
86 -year -old brother David Bell, BBC News told: “I have given up for a long time to find my brother. This is just remarkable, surprising. I can’t overcome it.”
Dennis, a trained meteorologist and former shelf worker, took a two -year role in Antarctica.
On July 26, 1959, when he fell into deep snow, he was investigating a glacier with his colleague Jeff Stokes.
Although he was initially retreated, his belt was broken during the rescue and fell again.
“Dennis was one of the many brave staff who contributed to the early science and discovery of Antarctica under extraordinary challenging conditions.
Polish scientists took their remnants carefully on four trips along the treacherous glacier and marked the site to prevent disappearance again.
David said: “I’m sorry for my family not to see this day at all. Great; I will meet my brother… He’s found – now comes home.”
