Two British tourists have been injured in a hot air balloon crash in Mexico, with one said to be in a “critical” condition following the horror incident.

It is believed that the accident occurred when the pilot hit electrical cables, lost control of the balloon and crashed onto the football field. The crash occurred just before 9 a.m. yesterday in the Teotihuacan Valley, about 40 kilometers northeast of Mexico City. The two British tourists were treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to hospital. It is said that the most seriously injured were female tourists.
