Vigilantes in Britain step up efforts to stop migrants crossing the border English Channel targeting small boats France. Members of right-wing campaign group Raise the Colors claim to own ships that they say will be used to transport asylum seekers across the Channel.
The group argues its activists want to end the “invasion” of illegal immigrants in the face of allegations of inaction by the British and French governments. Immigrant advocacy groups say Raise the Colors’ actions must be stopped. Nine associations supporting immigrants accused the British and French governments of failing to combat vigilantes.

The group’s “Operation Overlord” campaign saw members of the group targeting immigrants in France and searching for small boats hidden in the dunes to destroy them.
In the images published on the group’s social media, group members are seen trying to stop boat passage.
In one of the photos, a member is seen wading into the sea and shouting “We don’t want them in our country” at a small boat offshore. Another video posted on December 7 shows a masked man waving a knife at passengers in a car.
The clip was titled: “Illegal immigrant with knife tries to attack Raise the Colors patriots”.
It was not possible to independently verify any of the videos. Raise the Colors was approached for comment.
More than 39,000 people have reached the UK after crossing the Channel so far this year, according to Home Office figures.
