Motorists on a section of the M1 are facing evening traffic delays following a major crash. National Highways said lanes 3 and 4 were closed on the northbound section of the highway between junction 28 (Mansfield) and junction 29 (Chesterfield) due to a “multi-vehicle collision”.

There is currently two miles of oncoming traffic and drivers are warned of delays of at least 20 minutes above normal travel times.
