Singapore Grand Prix: George Russell beats Max Verstappen to pole at Marina Bay

Mercedes’ George Russell, Singapore Grand Prix, stole a spotlight from the title contestants with a striking polar position.

Since Russell’s June Grand Prix in June, his first pole was obtained from Red Bull’s Max Verstappen for 0.182 seconds.

McLaren’s championship leader Oscar Piastri, title rival and teammate Lando Norris fifth and Mercedes came third behind Kimi Antonelli.

Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc from Ferrari were sixth and seventh.

Hamilton came as a surprise in 2018, as he founded his famous tour and made the fight of Russell Norris and Piastri.

The speech before the weekend was about whether Verstappen could defeat McLaren and get a third win in a row.

Verstappen was Russell, who was on the top when he started the race in front of both McLarens and with the chance to support the title identity information.

Despite the 17 ordinary brushing the wall, he set up the fastest tour in his first run in his final qualification and then reduced it to 0.007 seconds in his second run.
