The Trump administration announced Thursday that it is suspending all U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) funding to Minnesota, effective immediately, while a large-scale fraud investigation continues.

“Enough is enough! The Trump administration uncovered MAJOR fraud in Minnesota and Minneapolis; billions of dollars were stolen by scammers. And those responsible have ZERO plan to fix it,” Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins wrote in a social media post.

USDA will suspend federal financial awards to the state “until sufficient evidence is provided that the fraud has been stopped,” according to Rollins.
