Businessman dies in cab crash on way to airport; family blames Uber driver as he falls asleep

A 59 -year -old businessman died in a tragic accident after hitting a taxi parked truck reserved to reach Delhi airport. His family accused the taxi company of being careless and informing about the accident.

Technoconcept India PVT LTD’s CEO of Raqesh Kumar made a reservation of UBER at around 4 o’clock on June 11 to catch a flight from IgI airport to Bengaluru. Just a few minutes after the journey started, the taxi hit a fixed truck in Flyway. He died of gambling.

His family says that they are not informed by Uber about the accident. They also claim that the application does not show any warning or warning, even if the cabin has stopped moving for a long time. Later, they noticed that the application showed a different destination – AIIMS trauma center instead of airport.
Raqesh Kumar’s daughter Shriti Arara said that her mother and her mother received a collision warning on her iPhone at around 4 o’clock, but she did not understand at first. When they could not reach him on the phone, they checked his place and found that he did not move from Dnd Flyway. They ran to the ground and the car was crushed under a tempo truck near the MCD paid cabin. The gambling was found unconscious and without a pulse in the car. AIIMS was declared dead at the Trauma Center.

The driver Sudhir survived the accident and told the police that a rubber explosion caused an accident. However, Shriti told him that the local people admitted to him that the driver had fallen asleep during driving. He also shared photos with the police showing that all the tires were intact.


The main complaint of the family is that Uber did not contact them after the accident. The driver reportedly ended a few hours after the accident, just around 11:00. Uber responded only after the family shared their experiences on social media on June 15th. After that, the company mentioned the insurance scope, but only when asked. In accordance with the new BNS law, Mayur Vihar Phase 1 Police Station was recorded in a police station. Among the charges, neglect (a guaranteed crime) and death, endangering someone’s life due to rash driving and careless behaviors.
