BYU starter’s future at school in doubt after arrest on suspicion of DUI

Kennard Davis Jr., a starter on the seventh-ranked BYU men’s basketball team, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after crashing his vehicle in Provo, Utah, on Thursday.

ESPN reported that Davis was treated for minor injuries following the crash and transported to the police station where he was charged. The victim did not go to the hospital.

BYU students need to stay away from alcohol, tobacco, coffee, tea, electronic cigarettes and substance abuse. university honor code – failure to do so may include expulsion.

“We are aware of the allegations and are investigating the situation,” BYU said. Statement made to ESPN.

Davis transferred to the school from Southern Illinois. He’s currently the team’s best three-point shooter and is knocking them down at 50%.

Davis scored 12 and 6 points in the two games he played this season. He did not play against Delaware on Tuesday due to a leg injury.

Last season with Southern Illinois, Davis averaged 16.3 points per game while shooting 37.6% from three-point range. He played 34.1 minutes per game, but that number dropped to 27.0 at the start of this season.
