Boeing makes new contract offer to St. Louis defense workers

(Reuters) -Uus Planemaker Boeing on Thursday in Boeing’s Defense Department, mostly St. He sent a new contract proposal to the union representing approximately 3,200 factory workers in the Louis region.
The company includes some small compensation changes that will benefit senior union members. The proposal also maintains current overtime policies that Boeing proposes to be amended in the latest contract proposal.
According to Boeing, if the contract does not pass until Sunday, a bulk bonus of $ 5,000 will not be presented again.
The International Machinery Association and Havina workers rejected the offer of contract from Boeing on Sunday. The proposal, which was sent to 837 members of the IAM region, included a 20% overall wage increase, bonus and more holiday time and disease permission for four years.
The IAM Union said that this offer was insufficient at that time.
Boeing Vice President Dan Gillian said in a statement, “We carefully thought and answered the feedback of our employees and the union’s feedback.” He said.
He described the contract as “the richest we’ve ever recommended for IAM 837.”
IAM refrained from commenting.
Workers bring together Boeing’s fighter and MQ-25, which is developed for the US navy.
