Faridabad ‘connection’
According to PTI news agency, officials stated that the explosion occurred while they were transporting explosive material purchased from Faridabad in Haryana. During the dismantling of the ‘white collar’ terror module, security forces had seized a large amount of explosives and the police were trying to take samples from them.
There were seized materials, including 360 kg of explosives, in the house rented by the arrested doctor Muzammil Ganaie. According to officials, samples of explosives were being taken as part of the investigation into the terror module.
While most of the explosive material was kept at the police station, some of it was stored in the police forensic laboratory. A primary case was also recorded for the terrorism module. While the police station building was damaged due to the violent explosion that occurred at night, the injured security guards were taken to the hospital.
However, successive modest explosions prevented the bomb squad from immediately rescuing the police personnel, according to the PTI report.
Car explosion in Delhi
In particular, the subjects of the November 10 Delhi blast are linked to objectionable posters in Srinagar’s Nowgam area, where an FIR was registered on October 19; Sources said security forces took strong action to bust an inter-state Jaish-e-Mohammed module linked to the terror plot.
Sources said that during the investigation of this case, two arrests of Shopian and Ganderbal were made between October 20 and 27 and on November 5, Dr. He said that Adil was arrested. Two days later, an AK-56 rifle and other ammunition were seized from Anantnag Hospital and later more arms, pistols and explosives were seized from a location in Faridabad, they said.
During questioning, the defendant revealed the names of other people involved in this module. Sources said Dr. then became a doctor from Al Falah Medical College in Faridabad. He said Muzammil was arrested. Based on these leads further arrests were made and a large quantity of weapons and explosives were seized.
On November 9, a person identified as Madrasi, a resident of Dhauj in Faridabad, was arrested from his home. The next day, a large consignment of explosives weighing 2,563 kilograms was seized from the house of Hafeez Mohammad Ishtiaq, a resident of Mewat and imam of Al Falah Mosque in Dhera Colony of Faridabad. Sources stated that 358 kilograms of additional explosives, detonators and timers were seized in subsequent raids, and that approximately 3 thousand kilograms of explosives and bomb-making equipment stored in this module were also seized.
Sources said that Umar, who was also part of the module during these operations and worked as a general practitioner at Al Falah Medical Faculty, moved his location because he was under constant pressure from the security forces.
According to CCTV footage, Umar, a member of this module, was driving the car in which the Red Fort explosion occurred. Sources said the blast was caused by the same type of material stored in Faridabad, from which around 3,000 kilograms of explosives were seized.
It was stated that later investigations will determine whether the explosion was pre-planned or accidental. Security agencies and intelligence network “Successfully dismantled this Faridabad module”, seized large quantity of explosive material and thwarted a major conspiracy aimed at causing massive damage in the country.
Sources said Omar panicked and fled after the successful intervention of the security forces, and his anxiety and desperation probably led to the Red Fort explosion. Whether this was intentional or accidental will be revealed in the investigations, but it is stated that it is certain that the explosion was an integral part of the chain of events in which a large terrorist module was exposed and a large amount of explosives were seized.
As soon as news of the blast broke on Tuesday, Delhi Police and other security agencies rushed to the spot. Home Minister Amit Shah immediately instructed NSG, NIA and forensic teams to reach the spot. While the injured were immediately taken to the nearest hospital, it was confirmed that he was the owner of the vehicle used in the explosion.
Basic DNA, explosives and other samples were collected from the area and sent for forensic examination. The investigation was handed over to the National Investigation Agency.
