Cameron Diaz reveals her biggest home etiquette ‘ick’ on ‘Drew Barrymore Show’

Cameron Diaz doesn’t play games when it comes to household etiquette.

Diaz revealed her biggest “abomination” on “The Drew Barrymore Show” and admitted that she doesn’t like anyone who dares follow New York City’s street scum outside her front door.

When asked about the “biggest jerk,” Diaz admitted without hesitation: “Shoes off the street in New York City.”

“You can’t,” Barrymore agreed, adding: “If you want to go into her house, wear a body condom.”

“You have to change your clothes to get into my house in New York,” Diaz jokingly warned.

“That’s true, and that’s why there are no germs in her house,” Barrymore added.

“Yeah, I’m rolling on the floor,” Diaz said. “No problem.”

Diaz stopped by Barrymore’s show to talk about her role in the new movie “Outcome.” The 53-year-old actor stars in the movie alongside Keanu Reeves, Jonah Hill and Matt Bomer.

Diaz returned to acting for the first time in the 2025 film “Back in Action” opposite Jamie Foxx.

“Charlie’s Angels” star revealed what prompted her to return to acting after being away from the spotlight for a decade. Diaz has made 38 films in 20 years. She is known for her roles in “My Best Friend’s Wedding”, “There’s Something About Mary”, “My Sister’s Keeper”, “Shrek”, “The Other Woman” and many more.

“I didn’t think I’d make another movie,” he admitted in a video shared by “I Still Watch Netflix.” “I was perfectly happy, you know, just living my life doing other things. You know, like every day, not in the movies. Then I got a call from Jamie Foxx. So when Jamie Foxx says, ‘Hey, I’ve got a big action comedy we can have a lot of fun with,’ how can you say no?”

“If there’s anyone I’ll look back on and spend months on set playing ball with and laughing with, it would be Jamie,” he added.

Despite her return, Diaz explained that nothing could change her mind about her decision to leave Hollywood. She quit acting in 2014 to focus on building a life with her husband, Benji Madden.

“Taking my own life back felt like the right thing for me to do, and I really didn’t care about anything else,” the actress said during an appearance at Fortune’s Most Powerful Women Summit, according to E! News.

“Nobody’s opinion, nobody’s success, nobody’s offer, nobody’s anything could change my mind about my decision to take care of myself and build the life I really wanted to have. I guess it really comes down to what are you passionate about? For me, it was about building my family.”
