AP Proposes 3 Officials For High-Level Panel On Water Disputes

Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh government proposed the name of three senior officials from the water resources department to be included in the high -level panel created by the center to address the water disputes between Andhra Pradesh and Tahangana.
The proposed authorities were G. Sai Prasad, Special Secretary (Water Sources), M. Venkateswara Rao, Government Advisor (Water Resources) and Chief Engineer K. Narasimha Murthy.
The center is in the process of creating a high-level panel containing technical experts and senior officials to examine the proposed Polavaram-Banachela connection project and the concerns surrounding the unresolved water sharing problems between the two states.
The panel is expected to play an important role in facilitating dialogue and finding friendly solutions to long -standing disputes related to the use of river water and project applications.
