Canada opposition leader wins seat after shock loss

Pierre Poilevre, the leader of Canada’s opposition conservatives, had the chance to return to parliament and the chance to grille Prime Minister Mark Carney through the US tariffs and made a return after losing unexpectedly in the April elections.

On Tuesday, informal results from the Canadian Elections showed that Poyilevre easily won the Battle River-Crowfoot voters in Alberta, a conservative castle on Monday.

Poilevre, accusing the liberal government of addressing US relations, will be able to confront Carney when the House of Commons returned on September 15th.

Carney, who served as Prime Minister in March, provides a strong minority government in the Federal Elections in April, while Poyileevre lost his seat for 21 years.

Carney promised to stand against US President Donald Trump, but since then, even if Washington has brought more tariffs, he has supervised his approach.

“Mark Carney failed. Failed, retreated, took concession against the Americans after the privilege against the Americans,” Poyilevre said last Thursday. He said.

However, Carney is not politically in danger.

Although the liberals have a shorter space from the majority in April, they should be able to rely on the support of smaller parties to get rid of the votes of trust.

A Nanos research survey conducted at the beginning of this month has put liberals in 44 percent popular support and 33 percent for conservatives.

Nanos Research CEO questionnaire Nik Nanos had taken Carney liberals to the center more, and poileevre said it would find it more difficult to draw a sharp contrast.

“Poilevre should express what they have learned from the latest Federal elections and how their government will be different from a Carney government.” He said.

At the beginning of the year, the conservatives seemed to be ready for an overwhelming election victory against the liberals of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who had been far behind in the surveys after more than nine years.

However, Liberal Reties increased after explaining that Trudeau resigned and Trump began to threaten Canada with tariffs and annexation.

According to the Canadian elections, poilevre provided about 80 percent of the votes.
