He warned that the US would continue to block passage through the strait as long as the blockade of Iranian ports continues. In its statement, the army accuses the US of “piracy” and says the “so-called blockade” amounts to sea robbery.
Khatam Al-Anbiya, the operational command of the Iranian military, added: “Until the United States grants full freedom of navigation to ships originating from Iran to a destination and from a destination back to Iran, the situation in the Strait of Hormuz will remain tightly controlled and in its previous state.”
