CARA asks State adoption agencies to strengthen counselling process

Central Adoption Source Authority (CARA) has published comprehensive instructions for institutionalization and institutionalization of structured counseling services structured consultancy services before adoption, during adoption, during adoption and after adoption.

This last attempt aims to strengthen the psychosocial support framework for all key stakeholders – parents who adopted a prospective (PAPS), adopted children and biological parents who deliver their children to adopt.

Critical component

Cara emphasized that the consultant is a critical component of the adoption process and that it is necessary to ensure emotional preparation, trouble -free transition and long -term prosperity of both children and related families. Memorandum repeats the compulsory nature of the structured and needed -based consultancy services foreseen in accordance with various provisions of adoption regulations, 2022.

The adoption boards of the state were instructed to appoint qualified consultants at the regional and state levels or to consult Embanik.

These professionals should ideally have a history of child psychology, mental health or social service. Pursuant to regulation 10 (7), it was compulsory to provide advice to parents who adopted a prospective during the homework work report (HSR) process. In addition, older children should receive counseling support before and during the adoption process.

He said that after the encounter, consultancy will be provided in certain situations such as monitoring the origins of an adopted child, in case of not correction between the child and the adoptive family, or in any case such as starting a radical search in any situation that shows the potential deterioration or dissolution of adoption.

Instructions also include psychosocial intervention provisions under other conditions evaluated by Private Adoption Agencies (SAAS) or Regional Child Protection Units (DCPU).
