Return to 1978

In his book Rise and Kill First, journalist Ronen Bergman wrote in 1978 that Ayatollah Homeini was in France, but wrote that its influence has grown in Iran. At that time, Iran’s prime minister Shapour Bakhtiar asked Mossad for help, hoping that they would eliminate Khomeini when he was still in France. Bakhtiar even offered the help of Iran’s secret service for the operation. However, the Israeli government refused to allow any blood shed on the French territory, so he never attacked Mossad Homeini.

Israel-Iranian conflict

As Iran hugged this last wave of strikes, something is clear: Mossad showed that Iran’s most protected circles have been reached for a long time.

This also comes after the ceasefire between the two countries is announced after days of hostility.
