UK weather: fog and sunshine in the weekend forecast

As we move beyond the weekend, the weather looks set to remind us that we’re still at the beginning of spring; High pressure is expected to subside and cold weather will make a return.

After a largely dry Monday, a band of rain is expected to fall towards the southeast on Tuesday.

Cold weather will blow as the wind blows from the north, and temperatures are expected to drop below seasonal norms in many places.

Although there will be some sunshine, there will also be showers; the hills in the north of the UK may even overwinter.
