CBI holds coordination meeting with DFS, public sector banks officials

The Central Investigation Office (CBI) held a coordination meeting with the officials of the Banking Securities Fraud Zone, Department of Financial Services (DFS), MOF and public sector banks on Tuesday, June 17, 2025.

During the meeting lasted for a day, all issues waiting for the ongoing investigation and prosecution of the bank fraud cases discussed by the CBI were discussed and a few problems were solved.

According to the meeting, the meeting was a follow -up meeting after the high -level meeting held in January this year between the Financial Services Department in Mumbai, CBI and public sector banks. Agenda was to develop cooperation between departments and accelerate the investigations of bank fraud cases.

During the meeting, detailed presentations were made by CBI and public sector banks officials on the relevant operational issues.

Many issues have been discussed and solved. A close coordination between the banks and the CBI was accepted in order to share the trusted documents on time.

Further efforts have been emphasized to ensure that proactive cooperation on issues related to obtaining approval and sanctions in accordance with the 17a and Chapter 19 and 19th Chapter of the Law on Facilitating Procedures and Prevention of Corruption.

The meeting ended with a consensus to maintain the current cooperation acceleration between CBI and public sector banks. The publication was emphasized continuously structured participation and corporate cooperation in order to overcome the procedural bottlenecks, to solve the problems waiting and to ensure that the investigations are completed on time.
