‘No quick fix’ as Martin faces familiar Rangers problems

Saturday’s lottery was struggling with Rangers fans, making a bad start to seasonal pressure on Steven Pressley, former Rangers defender of Dundee’s new head coaches.
Dundee, who scored only two goals in the opening premiere of Hibernian at home, did not beat Rangers at the previous 17 meeting and lost 19 visits to Ibrox.
The transition style accepted under Martin meant that Centre Half John Souttar attempted to pass in this game in this game, any player at the opening two weekends, the team generally made 709 attempts, again the highest level of any team and the 20 goals attempt.
Nevertheless, they still trusted a punishment to save a draw, and now they haven’t won both league matches for the first time since 1989.
Martin can understand the reaction of home support.
“The fans did not have the success they have for a long time, so I understand the frustration,” he said. “I didn’t get high on Tuesday, so we’re not too low today.
“Now we are at a point in this club where something should change.
“Property has changed, there is a new coaching staff, there are new players, I hope there is a new way to behave in the field of education – every day, standards and this football club properly about what is expected.
“I think we’re changing the manager from year to year, and nothing really changes.
“So now it’s about changing the club’s culture and feeling. This will result in a good result. A good process, good people will always result in a good result. But maybe not as fast as everyone wants.”
