Centre Clears ₹62,000 Cr Deal For 97 Tejas Jets

New Delhi: In a major pressure on the Indian Make-in-in-in-in-in, an agreement worth 62,000 RS for the Indian Air Force on Tuesday, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) 97 LCA Mark 1a Mark 1a Tejas Hunter cleared the proposal to buy.

This will be the second order for LCA Mark 1A fighters; The government had previously ordered for 83 aircraft around 48,000 RS.

Due to the restrictions on motor supply by GE, the Indian Air Force has been delayed in giving the first place of the LCA Mark 1A fighters.

The Defense Purchasing Council (DAC), headed by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, was first approved to buy an additional 97 Tejas Mark 1A light fighter aircraft.

The new order will receive the number of LCA Mark 1A up to 180 with IAF. IAF is already running LCA MK-1. MK1A is the advanced version of LCA MK-1.

In the coming years, the LCA Tejas fighter aircraft and future variants, built indigenously, will be the basis of the Indian Air Force.

IAF is a critical need for additional fighter aircraft to replace the aging MIG-21 aircraft.

Tejas MK1A will have an advanced electronic radar, war, communication systems, additional war features and advanced care features.

In 2003, Baptistern Tejas is a multi -rolled platform, one of the best in its class. It is designed to undertake air defense, maritime discoveries and strike roles.

The first version of Tejas was encouraged in IAF in 2016, and there are two IAF fleet Tejas, which is currently completely operational.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also made a hymen on a Tejas fighter plane in Bengaluru during his visit to Hindustan Aeronautics Limited with great support to the state business.
