release redacted sections From Geoffrey Watson’s report on the Victoria branch of the CFMEU: “Top Decay“ now gives us a much clearer picture of Victorian Labor’s role in what Watson describes as the union’s transformation into a “dirty mess” under John Setka.
These were removed because CFMEU director Mark Irving believed they were not adequate enough supported by evidence or Watson’s remit, the results actually offer an illuminating commentary on how the Victorian government enabled the CFMEU to evolve into one of the largest organized crime groups in Australian history.
