79 Complaints Filed at Weekly Police Meet in NTR District

vijayawada:NTR district police commissioner on Monday conducted the weekly public grievance redressal program and received 79 complaints from citizens on various issues. The initiative, which takes place every Monday from 10 am to 1 pm at the commissioner’s office in Vijayawada, aims to ensure quick and direct redressal of public grievances.

The session was held on the instructions of NTR district police commissioner SV Rajashekar Babu. DCP SVD Prasad and ADCP M. Raja Rao supervised the programme, interacted with the complainants and examined each case. In a special outreach effort, officers personally approached senior citizens and people with disabilities, asking about their concerns and assuring them of swift action.

To expedite the resolution, the DCP contacted the officers at the concerned station premises by phone from the scene and instructed them to take necessary steps immediately.

38 of the 79 complaints were related to land disputes, ownership issues and financial transactions; 16 were related to various frauds; 5 on marriage and family conflicts; 5 crimes related to women; 3 cases of theft; 1 to attack; and 11 were minor disputes and other incidents.
