People in India will not be able to see Chandra Grahan from the beginning. By the time the moon rises over most cities, the eclipse will have already begun and is nearing its end. This means that the last phase of the eclipse will be visible to Indians and it depends on the time and geography.
The Lunar Eclipse will begin at 15.20 on March 3, 2026 and will end at 18.47 in the evening. The moon will be visible in India from 18:26 onwards and maximum visibility will start from 18:33 to 18:40.

Only the last phase of the lunar eclipse will be visible in India as the moon will rise later in the evening. The eclipse will be visible between 6.20 pm and 6.30 pm IST in cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chennai. Viewers will get a better view as the Moon rises earlier in northeastern states like Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya and West Bengal.

Chandra Grahan on 3 March 2026 will start at 15:20 and will end at 18:47.

Northeastern states have increased visibility due to the Moon rising earlier there.
