Chappell Roan accused of ‘leaving Jude Law’s 11-year-old daughter in tears and using security guard to threaten her’

Pop sensation Chappell Roan is accused of setting a security guard on Jude Law’s daughter after she bumped into the “Hot To Go” singer at a Sao Paulo hotel.
The singer, whose real name is Kayleigh Rose Amstutz, is in the city to perform at the Brazilian version of the Lollapalooza music festival.
The criticism came in a post on Instagram by former Chelsea and Arsenal football star Jorginho, who is married to Law’s ex-girlfriend and the child’s mother, Catherine Harding.
The former Champions League winner, who now plays for Brazilian giants Flamengo, publicly criticized the 28-year-old ‘Pink Pony Club’ singer for the security guard’s behavior towards the child, whose name was not given but is understood to be Ada Law.
The 34-year-old actor began a lengthy statement by saying: ‘I experienced a very sad situation with my family earlier today.
‘My wife (@catcavelli) is in Sao Paulo for @lollapaloozabr. This morning my daughter woke up incredibly excited, she even made a sign because she was so happy to see an artist she really admires or used to admire.’

The child in question is the 11-year-old daughter of Jude Law and Catherine Harding
The criticism came from the Instagram account of Harding’s husband, football player Jorginho.
He continued: ‘Coincidentally, they are staying in the same hotel as this artist. During breakfast, he passed the artists’ tables. My daughter, like any child, recognized him, got excited and wanted to make sure it was really him.
‘And the worst part was he didn’t even come close to it. He walked past the singer’s table, looked to confirm it was him, smiled and sat down next to his mother. He didn’t say anything, he didn’t ask for anything.
‘What happened next was completely disproportionate. While they were still having breakfast, a large security guard came to their table and began speaking extremely aggressively to both my wife and daughter, telling me that my daughter should not be allowed to “disrespect” or “harass” others.
‘Honestly, I don’t know at what point walking past a table to see if anyone is there could be considered harassment. My 11-year-old daughter even said she was going to complain to the hotel while she was sitting there in tears. My daughter was very shaken and cried a lot.
‘I have lived with football, public exposure and public figures for many years and I understand very well what respect and boundaries are. That’s not what happened there. This was just a kid admiring someone.
‘It’s sad to see this kind of treatment coming from people who should understand the importance of fans. After all, they are the ones who built all this. I sincerely hope this is a moment of reflection. ‘No one, especially a child, should have to go through this.’
Jorginho concluded: ‘@chappellroan WITHOUT YOUR FANS, YOU WOULD NOT BE ANYTHING. AND TO FANS, SHE DOES NOT DESERVE YOUR LOVE.’
Representatives for Chappell Roan did not immediately respond to The Daily Mail’s request for comment.
While Jorginho did not name the child, he appears to be referring to his step-daughter Ava, who was photographed at this hotel in Sao Paulo just hours before the footballer’s Instagram story post.
Jorginho, who won the Champions League with Chelsea, said his 11-year-old stepdaughter passed by the singer’s table and smiled at him while having breakfast at the hotel they shared.
The footballer later said Roan spoke to the security guard’s wife and daughter in an ‘extremely aggressive’ manner and told them the boy should not ‘harass’ other people.
Roan, 28, has previously warned fans about ‘creepy’ behavior online and in public places
Jorginho’s post quickly went viral and netizens did not hesitate to offer their opinions on the contentious altercation.
The story even caught the attention of Rio Mayor Eduardo Cavaliere, who banned Roan from performing in the city.
‘I mean, as long as I’m in charge of our city, this young lady @ChappelRoan will never be able to perform at Todo Mundo no Rio! I doubt Shakira would do this! By the way, @FrelloJorginho your little one is already the guest of honor at the event in May!’ Cavaliere wrote in a post translated from Portuguese.
Roan had an occasionally contentious relationship with his fans; The artist had previously spoken out about behavior that he described as ‘creepy’ and ‘invasive’ in previous social media posts.
In August 2024, when his popularity skyrocketed, Roan He published a video on TikTok ‘I don’t care if harassment and harassment, stalking and whatever, is a normal thing that happens to people who are famous or somewhat famous,’ he said.
‘It’s weird how people think you know someone because you’ve seen them online and heard their art… I have the right to say no to creepy behavior, okay?’
followed this In a long post on Instagram, ‘I’ve wanted to be an artist for a very long time,’ he says. ‘I’ve had too many non-consensual physical and social interactions and I need to explain and remind you that women don’t owe you shit.’
Roan continued: ‘When I’m on stage, performing, in drag, when I’m at a business event, doing press…I’m at work. Otherwise I’m not in work mode. ‘I’m timed out.’
He added: ‘If you still think, “Well, if you didn’t want this to happen, then why did you choose a career where you knew you wouldn’t be happy with the outcome of your success?” If you ask: – understand this: I embrace the success of the project, the love I feel, and the gratitude I feel. Creepy people, I don’t accept being touched or followed.’
Born in Brazil but representing Italy at national team level, Jorginho has had a long career in European football, winning the 2021 UEFA Champions League and the 2019 Europa League with Chelsea. He also played for Arsenal and Napoli, among other clubs.
Jorginho and Harding have a four-year-old son named Jax; Jorginho also has a nine-year-old daughter named Ada with his former partner Jude Law.
