Child dies following accident at harness racing track in Woodstock, N.B.

Woodstock is investigating the death of a child who started to walk during the Racing Card on the Connell Park Race Track on Saturday.
In a social media broadcast late on Saturday, the police said they were investigating a “tragic event” that resulted in death.
On Sunday, Woodstock Police Chief Mark Bennett said the police “did not publish many details to protect the integrity of the investigation”. However, at this point, he was investigated as an accident and “no guilt was suspected”, he said.
