Sen. Alex Padilla calls removal from DHS press conference a ‘wake-up call’

Senator Alex Padilla, D-Calif. In an interview, DHS Secretary, trying to ask Kristi Noem a question in June, he said he didn’t think he would be forcibly removed from an internal security Ministry (DHS) press conference.
He continued: “I would never imagine that this would happen – this would be an answer to a question, especially a senator trying to ask a question,” he said New York Times’ Lulu Garcia Navarro.
Padilla was handcuffed and trying to ask a question about the internal security president who spoke about the anti -icing rebellions in the city.
NYT asked Padilla that Noem apologized to him in his speeches after the incident. Padilla insisted that he had not interrupted the press conference and wanted to ask only one question.

“There is no apology, but not honestly surprised, considering how this administration tends to carry itself,” he continued. “I wish I could say that he was more important or more constructive. Finally he said, ‘I understand you want more information. What is your question? ‘”
Padilla said that the removal of the press conference should be a call to wake up, arguing that a bigger problem with the Trump administration.
Times, “This management reacts to a senator with a question, if it was clear to me, not only how to treat many other people, but when the cameras are not open, imagine how they behave so many people. This should be a call for waking up,” he said.
Democratic Senator drew attention to the presence of national guards in cities such as Los Angeles and Washington, DC, and said that this was a ” -headed time for the country.

When asked if he thought he was deliberate or a mistake, Padilla said, “At least one of the excessive reaction was hell.”
“But they knew who I was. Just like Vice President Vance knew my name, but he chose to call me Jose. We served together for two years in the Senate for the sake of Christ. He knows who I am, but as they chose to move on to something,” he said.
