Hyderabad: A few devotees observing Ayyappa swamy deeksha staged a protest at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Shamshabad on Friday after the IndiGo flight to Cochin was cancelled.
Angry devotees were waiting for the flight from RGIA since Thursday evening. Since there was no information about the exact schedule of their departure flight, devotees registered their protest as it affected their travel plans.
Devotees raised slogans condemning the attitude of the airlines and demanded that necessary arrangements be made for their safe travel to Cochin. Swamiye Saranam Ayyappa….. slogans color the atmosphere at the airport. Devotees reach the Sabarimala temple by renting a car from Cochin or by hiring a government-run bus in Kerala.
