Chinese President Xi Jinping and US counterpart Donald Trump.
China reacted after US President Donald Trump called NATO allies to take action against Beijing to do business with Russia. News Agency Reuters added that during a state visit to Slovenia, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi added that the war could not solve problems and that the sanctions are only complicated. Yi’s interpretation came after Trump called on NATO member states to stop buying Russian crude oil and to bring up to 100 percent of tariffs from Moscow to the purchase of energy from Moscow. China is particularly the biggest buyer of Russian oil, followed by Turkey and NATO member Türkiye.
What did Trump say about China’s tariff?
As a sharp response to the United States, China said that he did not participate in land or wars – an excavation of Washington’s participation in numerous conflicts around the world. In his message to NATO members, Trump called for more sanctions on Russia and 50 percent to 100 percent of tariffs on imports from China. “NATO, as a group that puts 50% to 100% tariffs in China, will be completely withdrawn after the war with Russia and Ukraine, this deadly, but ridiculous war, war,” he said.
Why does Trump take action against Russia and allies?
Trump is lobbing to the key ally, including seven (G7) and the European Union (EU) group to impose more sanctions on Russia to Moscow’s business partners and to apply tax tariffs. The United States applied a large 50 percent tariff to India, including 25 percent to buy crude oil from Russia. Trump has refrained from taking punishing measures in China for his ties with Russia so far. Since Trump is trying to end Russia’s war with Ukraine since the beginning of 2022, developments are coming.
