China says world is at ‘crossroads’ between peace and war

China warned against intervention in its work and other disputes in the middle of regional conflicts.

Def Defense Minister Dong Jun, on Thursday at the opening ceremony of the Xiangshan Forum in Beijing, “Today the world stands at another intersection: peace or war, dialogue or conflict,” he said.

He said Taiwan was an indisputable part of China, and the people’s Liberation Army is a strong force to defend the “reunion”.

Dong said Beijing would never allow the successful initiatives of Taiwan. The authority added that it is ready to prevent any “foreign military intervention” at any time without naming certain countries.

Democratic Taiwan, which hosts 23.4 million people, has been an independent government since 1949. However, China claims as a part of Taiwan’s territory and threatened to often annexing.

The US, the most important supporter of Taiwan, has to support the defense capabilities of island democracy due to the 1979 Taiwan Relations Law.

Particularly considering the disputes with the Philippines, Dong on the welding areas in the South China Sea, Dong stressed that China will protect its regional sovereignty, rights and interests.

According to the minister, the absolute military superiority and the “power of power” approach will ultimately lead to the “rule of the forest”.

China recently declared a nature reserve in the South China Sea.

The Xiangshan Forum is considered to be the opposite event of China, which is internationally famous for the Shangri-La Dialogue Security Conference, which is held every year in Singapore.

Western countries usually sent low -level representatives to the Xiangshan Forum – Germany and US military appointments sent from their embassies. Meanwhile, China has sent only a low delegation to Singapore for a long time this year and did not have a face -to -face interview between Dong and US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

Some countries from Central Asia and the Global South sent defense ministers. According to information from Beijing, defense politicians and experts from more than 100 countries confirmed their participation in the forum.
