Chinese bridge collapse kills a dozen workers

According to state media reports, the collapse of a construction low railway bridge on a large river in China killed at least 12 workers and lost four other people.

Air photos from the official Xinhua News Agency show a large part of the bridge’s curved aquamarin belt.

A bent part of the bridge deck hangs down to the Yellow River below.

Xinhua said sixteen workers were on the bridge in the northwest China’s Qinghai province.

In the quest, boats, a helicopters and robots were used.

The English Chinese daily newspaper said that the bridge is 1.6km long and the deck is 55 meters above the surface of the river.
