Middle East tensions: Air India temporarily stops flights to Europe, 5 destinations in U.S., Canada

Air India stopped flight operations to Europe among the increasing tensions in the Middle East and five destinations in the United States and Canada.

In addition, Air India Express and Indigo’s flights to the Middle East were affected and some were guided.

While Iran launched a missile attack on a US air base in Qatar, tensions in the region increased and several countries, including Qatar, closed the airspace.

Air India’s long -distance flights to Europe and North America fed the Middle East and broke the airspace sidewalk services.

In the midst of the developing situation in the Middle East, Air India said that he had immediately put into force until the region, the eastern coast of North America and Europe, and all operations that came into force immediately.

Services were temporarily stopped to European cities and four US airports – New York, Newark, Chicago and Washington – and Toronto (Canada).

The airline said that there was a constant consultation with external security consultants and watching the developing situation carefully.

Air India Express directed two flights connected to Doha due to the closure of the Qatar airspace.

“As a result of the ongoing situation in the Middle East and the suspension of the Qatar airspace in the Middle East, Air India Express directed our flight from Doha to Muscat from Kochi and returned our flight from Kannur.” He said.

In an article in X, Indigo said that in the light of the latest developments in the Middle East, Dubai, Doha, Bahrain, Dammam, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Ras Ai-Khaimah and Tbilisi were influenced.

The airline also said that it actively monitors the situation to ensure the highest safety level and set the operations.

In an article in X, Spicejet said that all departures and arrival and their flights may be affected due to the closure of the airspace in Dubai.

Air India Express runs 25 weekly flights to Doha, the capital of Qatar. Kannur, Kochi, Kozhikode, barbecue, ThiruvanantHapuram and Tiruchchirappalli directly serves Doha.

In addition, the carrier has eight-single arrival points from Doha-Bengaluru, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Delhi, Haydarabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune.
