CII-Rajasthan annual session held with call to promote entrepreneurship among youth

The annual session of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII)-Rajasthan was held in Jaipur on Thursday, March 12, 2026, with a call to promote entrepreneurship among youth and achieve a $4.30 trillion economy for the State by 2047. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma addressed a conference on ‘Viksit Rajasthan’ on the occasion.
Mr. Sharma said that conditions in the State are conducive to economic growth and the State government has taken various decisions to create an investment-friendly environment, promote innovations, ensure ease of doing business and grant single window permission to industries.
“Rajasthan will play a key role in achieving the goal of Developed India. Based on the goal of ‘Viksit Rajasthan-2047’, a road map is being prepared for the overall development of village panchayats and urban local bodies,” Mr. Sharma said.
The Chief Minister said that the State government has introduced as many as 34 new policies to create a conducive environment for industries. The local specialties of districts were being promoted through the ‘One District, One Product’ scheme, he said, adding that the rural infrastructure would be improved to enable the villagers to live and work there.
At the event, Mr. Sharma distributed appointment letters for employment in the private sector to 12 young people and entrepreneurship coupons to five women. CII-Rajasthan president Sanjay Agarwal said that Rajasthan has recorded an impressive growth rate of 10.2%, while the country’s GDP growth rate is 8.6%.
Among those who attended the annual session were General Secretary V. Srinivas and CII Northern Region president Anjali Singh.
