AESA leading renewable provider increased by about 2%. Megabill will now go to the House of Representatives, where MPs will discuss the changes of the Senate.
The clean energy industry was surprised and angry to find out that wind and solar projects were added to a version of Senate legislation during the weekend. The tax was applied to projects using components from foreign organizations above a particular threshold. It is understood that foreign -worried assets are basically referring to China.
Tax ultimately told the Senate Legislation, the American Clean Power Association (ACP) and Solar Energy Industries Association (Seia) CNBC. ACP’s Market Analysis Senior Vice President John Hensley said that the measure is punishing and the sun and wind industry will add up to 7 billion dollars to the tax burden.
The senate bill is still not as strict as the previous versions of the legislation, but the timeline is not as strict. These loans played an important role in the expansion of renewable energy in the USA.
According to ACP, projects that have started to construction within 12 months after the bill of law may still be entitled to receive full tax loans. According to ACP, the projects that started construction after 12 months have to be put into service until the end of 2027 to qualify for loans.

He said. “If this bill is a bill, families will encounter higher electricity bills, factories will be closed, Americans will lose their business and our electricity network will weaken.”
