A specially crafted tableau celebrating the country’s rich cinematic heritage will come down Kartavya Road on January 26 and make history as an Indian film director represents Indian cinema for the first time at the country’s most prestigious ceremonial event.

Talking about this special partnership between the Indian government and the acclaimed filmmaker, a source told The Times of India, “For the first time, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, one of the true flagbearers of Indian cinema, will represent Indian cinema at the Republic Day Parade. This historic honor marks a defining period for Indian cinema and is set to create a strong national momentum. There can be no better representative of this moment than Sanjay Leela Bhansali.”
